John Andersson

John Andersson from (1899 - 1969).

A Swedish ceramicist who started his career as a potter in 1912, where he was employed at "Andersson and Johansson" in Höganäs. In 1924 he became artistic director at the company, and in the 1940s he worked primarily with unique stoneware. John Andersson also  designed the dinner service series "Old Höganäs", which is made of hard-baked clay in the colors green, yellow-brown and blue. It was designed for the "Helsingborg Exhibition 1955" which became one of the era's most groundbreaking exhibitions of European design and crafts.
